Your Dorothy Jean turned 13 this week. I am still in shock that she can really be 13! She will always seem like my little red-headed sister who likes to run around in her red cowgirl boots, wearing a bow-tie, a pink gun in her holster, and a grocery cart with baby dolls. She has grown up into an amazing young lady and a beautiful woman! She has been through so much in her short life and it shows in her maturity. Her friends often don't understand her because she is so serious, if only they could comprehend how much she has had to grow up since she lost you as her daddy here on Earth. She is quick to help me when I need it, {rarely} complains about it, and always loves on her nieces and nephews. To say that I feel blessed to have her as a sister is an understatement. Over the last year our friendship has blossomed past being sisters and I love just having her in my car going to run errands so we can talk and I can hear what is going on in her life. You would be so incredibly proud of her! We had a low key celebration for her and did a dinner and strawberry cheesecakes. The day before her birthday I took her to have Emily give her a little make over and wax her eyebrows for the first time. She looked stunning, although it doesn't take make up for her to be beautiful! We finished it off by letting her pick out some make up essentials to fully stock her beauty stash. She loved it and I could tell felt very pampered by the experience which is exactly what I was hoping! We all missed having you here to celebrate your littlest princess but I am sure Jesus let you have a glimpse at what a beautiful young lady you have left behind!
Your Favorite Second Born,
